Care FOR Fresh FlowerS
Start their day right. Your flowers deserve a nice drink as soon as they reach their new home. Get your scissors out and trim at least 1/2 an inch off each stem. Aim for a 45° angle, this provides more surface area for the flower to drink from. It also helps prevent the stems from sitting flat, allowing bacteria to build up. Once they’ve had their stems seen to, fill a clean vase with cool water and place the flowers in. Change the water daily or as often as you remember. Over time, remove individual flowers as they expire.
Keep them cool... that means out of direct sunlight and extreme heat. If we haven’t designed the arrangement into a vase for you, take some creative licence and give them a little shake up when you unwrap them to make sure they look their best.
CARE FOR Dried FlowerS
Unlike their fresh counterparts, dried and preserved flowers don’t like water. It causes their stems to become mouldy and weak... Keep them warm and dry. Over time, and particularly if they are kept in direct sunlight, their colour will fade, and they enter into another phase of their beauty. Slowly but surely, they will become more fragile and will need a light dusting. Be gentle, be kind and they can last for years.
